2013 Town Candidate List

The list of candidates for Buxton, Maine town offices has been announced and there is a sever shortage of people willing to serve. With the exception of the office of selectman, none of the other races have oposition or even enough candidates for the available positions.

Elections will be held on June 11, 2013 at the Buxton town hall on Portland Road.

The Buxton Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on the following Secret Ballot Articles for the June 11, 2013 Annual Town Meeting at the Buxton Municipal Building, 185 Portland Road, Buxton, Maine on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.

Candidates Sought

The Town of Buxton is still in need of candidates to fill positions in the upcoming municipal elections. A number of candidates have submitted valid petitions and will appear on the ballot, however some positions will remain unfilled or uncontested.

On Sunday April 7, 2013, Buxton, Maine resident Senior Chief John Hart retired from the US Coast Guard Reserve after 32 years of service.
